Tincture bottle support

First of all, please accept our apologies for any difficulties you might have in opening these darned child-resistant droppers. Although it’s rare, the plastic tabs that provide the child resistance can wear or break, which makes the bottles tricky to open. Fortunately, there are a couple of easy workarounds. The easiest? Just let us know and we’ll discuss a replacement for you!

Here’s what’s happening under the hood. Check out the photo below. The red arrows point to black plastic tabs. These tabs allow the outer wooden ring to turn the inner black plastic screw top off of the bottle. If those tabs are worn down, it’s challenging to turn the inner ring. If you press down hard while turning counterclockwise, it should eventually work.

If it still doesn’t work and you don’t want to wait for a replacement, there’s another workaround. You just have to remove the outer cap. To do so, find a large screwdriver and force the outer cap up and off the bottle as shown below.

At that point, you can unscrew the inner black plastic cap where the red arrow is pointing.
